Aside from adding turmeric powder into your dishes, there are plenty of other beneficial ways to work it into your everyday diet and lifestyle. Here are a few options:

Spice up your food

One way you can incorporate turmeric into your diet is to add it to your cooked vegetables, eggs, and meat dishes. You can also add it to boiling water while making pasta, rice, or soup dishes.

Drink it as tea

Add about one teaspoon of turmeric to boiling water, and add honey or lemon for taste for a nice detox. This is one of the best ways to consume it and gain the most benefits possible.

Use it as a face mask

It also does wonders for the skin. For a simple facial mask, add 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder to any face mask recipe. Your skin will feel smoother, softer, and appear much healthier.

Use it as an acne gel

Its anti-inflammatory properties are helpful for acne prone skin. You can make your own acne gel with turmeric and honey and use it as a daily spot treatment.

Use it to help brighten your teeth

One way to do this is to wet your toothbrush, dip it in some turmeric powder, and brush as normal. Alternatively, you can mix the powder (1/4 teaspoon) and coconut oil (1/8 teaspoon) to make your own toothpaste. Allow the turmeric to sit on your teeth for about three to five minutes before rinsing.

Use it to calm itching or soothe burns

Mix in a small amount of turmeric and aloe vera gel to help calm itchy or burned skin – thanks to its antiseptic properties. This is especially helpful with bug bites, sunburns, poison ivy, and eczema. Apply a mixture of turmeric and aloe vera gel on the burn and your wound should heal in no time.

Use it to treat cracked heels

Take three spoonfuls of turmeric and mix it with a few drops of coconut or castor oil. Apply the mixture to the heels of your feet and leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes before taking a bath. Your feet should feel soothed and relieved and with continuous use, your heels will become much softer.

A natural way to heal!
