Natural eye treatment

  • 2 green tea bags
  • small plate

An inexpensive, effective method for treating puffiness and dark circles is by simply using tea bags. Stress from work and lack of sleep can strain the skin around the eyes, causing it to appear dull and puffy. By applying the bags onto your eyes, they can help shrink the swelling and reduce fluid retention around the eyes. The natural caffeine found in green tea reduces swelling and puffiness and eliminates dark circles. Tannins, which give the tea its natural color, constrict the blood vessels around the eyes while soothing the skin. Applying this method regularly will improve the condition of the skin around your eyes while allowing you to relax and de-stress.

Take your green tea bags and steep in hot water for 1-3 minutes. Remove the bags and place on a small plate or container of choice. Place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or until the bags feel chilled. If the bags feel dry, add a few drops of water. Place them on your eyes for 10-15 minutes and remove. Voila, the easy organic skincare solution will have worked a miracle.
