These paw-some photos are from the finalists of the inaugural Comedy Pet Photography Awards. For the first time, the founders of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have launched a photography award show giving proud pet owners a chance to show off their quirky pets. Photographers Tom Sullam and Paul Johnson-Hicks MBE have collected over 2500 entries and, after some sifting through the im-paw-sibly brilliant shots, they have narrowed down the hilarious photos to their favourites.
Tom said: “We want primarily a laugh out loud moment: a picture that grabs us instantaneously. The idea of the competition is to make us appreciate our pets for their humour, and their ability to give us so much more than just company. The pictures that make us laugh the most are the ones that make us appreciate pets the most.” Winners will be announced in early September.
The models for this astonishing photography are so adorable, you’ll remember them fur-ever! Terrible puns aside, you’ll want to share this pet photography with all your friends and loved ones to bring some cheer into their lives.

Even though this portrait is not exactly what I had in mind when trying to shoot a picture of an Icelandic horse, this guy (girl?) made my day and I still suspect him/her of photobombing my photo on purpose. If so, thanks a lot! This shot has easily become by most favourite picture of an Icelandic horse I brought home from my trip.

This cat was sitting outside very close to my office. Since I’ve got an ultra-wide lens, I’ve decided to take a very close shot. But the cat asked me to push the shutter button by itself 🙂
